About M. Tech. Computational Mechanics (Mechanical Engineering)
M. Tech. Computational Mechanics (Mechanical Engineering) Mechanical Engineering Department, PCCoE Pune, has launched Two Years M. Tech. Program in Computational Mechanics (Mechanical Engineering) from the academic year 2023-2024. Looking at Global Scenario to enhance employability skills and impart deep knowledge in emerging/ multidisciplinary areas will be provided through this program.
The M.Tech. Program in "Computational Mechanics (Mechanical Engineering)" is an innovative and interdisciplinary program that blends mechanical engineering principles with computational techniques. It offers students a unique opportunity to delve deep into the world of simulations and modeling, enabling them to tackle complex engineering problems with precision and efficiency. With a strong emphasis on hands-on learning and cutting-edge research, this program equips graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in diverse industries such as design, aerospace, automotive, biomedical, structural engineering, and so many.

More about the Program
The program is designed and developed for students of mechanical and other engineering disciplines, where computation plays an essential role in defining and finding solutions in the computational domain. The curriculum is designed with a focus on the need of the industries and is in line with the syllabus of IITs and other institutes of national/international repute. The program emphasized widely used computational methods like FEM/ CFD, Multiphysics problems and programming. A dedicated lab will provide a practical exposure to theoretical knowledge through extensive simulation and programming. The objective is to provide basic and advanced knowledge and skills for fulfilling the demand of specialized areas from industries for higher-order skill jobs.
