About us

Team Ambush is a group of undergraduate students from diverse streams studying at Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Pune, striving to bring change in the agriculture domain. We aim to conceptualize, design, fabricate & test a “Automated Multi - Vegetable Transplanter”. We are team with an ideology and goal to “Innovate & Mechanize the field of Agriculture in India”.

We participate and compete in a National Level Competition SAE TIFAN (“Technology Innovation Forum for Agricultural Nurturing”) organized by SAE INDIA under SAE INDIA Off - Highway Board; and is one of the most popular agri - tech events in the country where student teams from all over the nation participate every year to display their prototypes, projects and ideas on a particular theme at Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Ahmednagar

The team was founded in 2017 and has successfully designed & manufactured serval Self - Propelled Onion Harvesters and Automated multi vegetable Transplanter by putting the theoretical knowledge into test practically in order to achieve Breakthrough Innovations. The constant determination to serve the feeders of the world by analyzing learnings from the past to best ourselves is what keeps us motivated.

Team Goal:: To make timely technological advancements in the existing farming techniques and encourage the farmers to adopt the same in order to increase the overall productivity and quality with less inputs. Thus, bridging the gap between conventional farming methodologies and mechanized solutions.
Team Objective:: To acquire the desired skill set and technical soundness while contributing to a larger cause and thus developing as a nation.

Events

SAE TIFAN 2023-24

The team participated in the Sixth season of SAE TIFAN successfully which was held in Phygital (Physical + Digital) Mode in which the Qualifying Round was conducted physically at sinhgad College of Engineering & Static Evaluation Round were conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams platform. Dynamic Evaluation Round was held at the MPKV Rahuri. Highlights of SAE TIFAN 2023 – 2024 are:

Appeared for SAE TIFAN Qualifying Physcial Round at Sinhgad College of Engineering on a December 26, 2023.
Qualified for Final Round of SAE TIFAN 2023- 2024 amongst 40 teams across India
Successfully participated and competed the SAE TIFAN 2023- 2024 Dynamic Evaluation Round which was held in physical mode at MPKV Rahuri.
Prototype for this season demonstrated outstanding performance in SAE TIFAN 2023-2024 and has achieved All India Rank(AIR)-04 in SAE TIFAN.
Awarded with the Best Sales & Marketing (Runner - Up) at SAE TIFAN 2023 - 2024

SAE-TIFAN 2022-23

The team participated in the Fifth season of SAE TIFAN successfully which was held in Phygital (Physical + Digital) Mode in which the Qualifying Round & Static Evaluation Round were conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams platform. Successfully participated and competed the SAE TIFAN 2022- 2023 Dynamic Evaluation Round which was held in physical mode at MPKV Rahuri.

SAE TIFAN 2021-22

The team participated in the fourth season of SAE TIFAN successfully which was held in Phygital (Physical + Digital) Mode in which the Qualifying Round & Static Evaluation Round were conducted virtually via. Microsoft Teams Platform while the Dynamic Evaluation Round was held at the PCCoE Campus and the Field at Punawale, Ravet. Team Ambush stood amongst the Top 05 Teams across India in the Overall Rankings of the event. Highlights of SAE TIFAN 2021 - 2022 are:

Qualified for Final Round of SAE TIFAN 2021 - 2022 amongst 40 teams across India
Plantation of Onions done by the team members by carrying out the necessary farming practices in December 2021
Participated in the SAE TIFAN 2021 - 2022 Static Evaluation Round virtually via. Microsoft Teams platform on April 16, 2022
Successfully participated and competed the SAE TIFAN 2021 - 2022 Dynamic Evaluation Round which was held in physical mode at PCCoE Campus and the field at Punawale, Ravet
Awarded with the Best Sales & Marketing (Runner - Up) at SAE TIFAN 2021 - 2022 and stood amongst the Top 05 Teams in the Overall All India Rankings

SAE TIFAN 2019-21

The team participated in the third season of SAE TIFAN successfully which was held in the Digital Mode due to COVID - 19 pandemic outbreak. The Final Round took place on January 16, 2021 via. Microsoft Teams platform wherein all the teams were evaluated digitally. Highlights of SAE TIFAN 2019 - 2021 are:

Qualified for Final Round of SAE TIFAN 2019 - 2021 amongst 64 teams across India
Participated in the Final Round of SAE TIFAN 2019 - 2021 in digital mode via. Microsoft Teams platform
Crowned as the SAE TIFAN 2020 Overall Winners (All India Rank - 01) and also bagged the Best Design (Runner - Up) Award

KISAN EXHIBITION 2020

The team got a wonderful opportunity to exhibit the prototype i.e., Krushirath 3.0 in Asia’s Largest Agriculture Exhibition that was held digitally via. KISAN Application due to pandemic situation on between December 16, 2020 - December 20, 2022

Achievements:

Interaction with various local as well as international companies who gave us positive response for technical guidance.
Footfall of around 15000+ farmers to the team’s pavilion.

SAE TIFAN 2018-19

The team participated in the second season of SAE TIFAN successfully which was held at Mahatma Phule Krushi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri. The Final Round took place in between March 18, 2019 - March 20, 2019. Highlights of SAE TIFAN 2018 - 2019 are:

KRUSHI MAHOTSAV 2019

The team got a valuable opportunity to exhibit the prototype i.e., Krushirath 1.0 in Global Agriculture Exhibition that was held in between January 25, 2019 - January 29, 2019 at Nashik wherein Team Ambush was honored by the organizers due to the team’s efforts.

Achievements:

Footfall of 10000+ visitors to the stall
Team received Krushi Mauli Award 2019 for the Best Innovation in the field of Agriculture and was also granted a stall for displaying the prototype free of cost

KISAN EXHIBITION 2018

The team got a wonderful opportunity to exhibit the prototype i.e., Krushirath 1.0 in Asia’s Largest Agriculture Exhibition that was held in between December 12, 2018 - December 16, 2022 at Moshi, Pune wherein Team Ambush was the only student level - organization; the rest being leading multi - national companies from the agricultural sector.

Achievements:

Footfall of 30000+ visitors to the stall out of which few of the enthusiastic farmers filled the survey forms stating their practical problems and other requirements
After briefing of the prototype, some of the farmers were interested in purchasing the prototype and enquired about the launching of the prototype in market
Leading companies such as John Deere, Force Motors, Shaktiman, KISAN CRAFT, etc. also visited stall to give technical guidance and some of them also assured financial support

SAE TIFAN 2017 - 2018

The team participated in the first season of SAE TIFAN successfully which was held at Mahatma Phule Krushi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri. The Final Round took place in between March 22, 2018 - March 24, 2018. Highlights of SAE TIFAN 2017 - 2018 are:
